FAQ
How can I schedule a photoshoot?
You can contact me through this website's contact form, via email (kristenhoganphotography@gmail.com), or through my social media platforms (@kristenhoganphotography on Instagram) to make an inquiry. From there, we will collaborate to determine the details of the shoot either through email or over the phone.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive a link to your personalized online gallery via email 2-3 weeks after the date of the photoshoot for portrait or lifestyle sessions. 4-8 weeks of processing time can be expected for wedding galleries.
Where are you based and how do you calculate travel costs?
I'm currently based in Hamilton, Ontario. For all sessions in Downtown Hamilton or Ancaster, I will not add an additional travel fee. For any sessions outside of this radius, I will add a travel fee based on the average price of gas on the date of the session and the number of kilometres travelled. Essentially, the cost of gas for the duration of my commute to and from the session will be included in the total price.
What goes into your pricing?
My pricing is based on a few different factors. The first is my hourly wage, which includes time spent preparing for the photoshoot, active shooting hours, editing and organizing galleries for delivery. I also include my equipment, business, and software costs in the total. Finally, I factor in travel costs, which may vary depending on how far away your dream location is (we've gotta love soaring gas prices, eh?)
It's important to me to maintain transparency with my clients about where their money is going. You work hard for your paycheck and I want you to feel good about your investment knowing that I am also working hard for mine.
